BRIDE

Man cannot live without love. He remains a being that is incomprehensible for himself, his life is senseless, if love not is not revealed to him, if he does not encounter love, if he does not experience it and make it his own, if he does not participate intimately in it.
— St. John Paul II, Redemptor Hominis, #10

¿¡Que es el Amour?!

Love is a Person. Love has a name: Jesus the Christ.

Beloved, let us love one another, because love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God’s love was revealed among us: God sent His one and only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him...
— 1 John 4: 7-9

It is precisely from this Love, from this Man that we gain the capacity to love the other. Now how should we define this "love" between two persons? I will offer you two versions: a philisophical definition as well as a psychological. I guarantee you gents that if you live by these two frameworks then you will stay forever "in Love."

Philosophical

  1. "Desiring the greatest good for the beloved" (Saint Thomas Aquinas)

  2. Love is an act of the will; not an emotion, rather a verb. (Me)

psychological

If we tap into neurobiology we will see that "Love" goes through 3 phases:

  1. Crush Phase;
  2. Infatuation phase; and
  3. Attachment phase.
